Since childhood I’ve been shaped by Galileo’s example of courage and curiosity.
I seek first to understand, think independently, question assumptions, and recommend what has proven, or is most likely, to work.
I prefer to amplify others than take the spotlight. I help leaders of every role, title and age perform at their best, collaborating closely as their results shape my success.
I approach thought leadership as a craft that requires curiosity, courage, and a commitment to develop ideas and approaches only where they are likely to be genuinely useful.
I believe the wisest teachers are those who have lived the lesson, not amateurs or imitators with only a simplistic or theoretical understanding.
For over two decades I’ve owned and operated GumLeafGreen, working with diverse clients around the world. The work has included bespoke skill building, coaching and mentoring services, and expert input on strategic projects.
My honours law degree and more than a decade as an Australian commercial lawyer built discipline and rigour but also offered valuable insights into my own blind spots and how to improve. My legal career spanned a large private firm, a State government department and a global organisation where I also served as assistant company secretary.
I care for Country with respect for the Traditional Custodians. I’m passionate about rewilding landscapes. I refuel in wild places with loved ones, including my whippet, to boost creativity, clarity and resilience, qualities I believe are essential for thoughtful leadership.
